New York research group publishes online water contaminant database

The New York Public Interest Research Group released a searchable public drinking water system contaminant database with information on regulated and unregulated contaminants that have appeared in government water test data.

NYPIRG's "What's in my Water? tool allows users to search by zip code to determine what contaminants, both regulated and unregulated, have turned up in tests by the state departments of Health and Environmental Conservation and the U.S. EPA.
